Founded in 1994, the Brownsville Society for the Performing Arts (BSPA) is
a private,
non-profit Texas Corporation based in Brownsville,
Texas. It has
tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
BSPA was structured with a clear vision for the future of Brownsville, its mission is to strengthen and reinvigorate our community through the Performing Arts.
It shares its resources and know-how with all concerns, public and private, that seek to promote the Performing Arts in Brownsville.
For our myriad community organizations with charitable objectives, we hope to provide them with a way to raise much-needed funding through cultural entertainment.
BSPA and its partners, supporters, volunteers and affiliates all invite you to participate in the BSPA Alliance for Brownsville!!
BSPA is managed by an all-volunteer
Board of Directors that holds regular meetings on a monthly basis, usually on
the first Thursday of the month. A membership drive is planned for the
near future.
